Mt.Gyeyang

Gyeyangsan, 395m above the sea, is an iconic mountain representing Incheon.
From the early ages of history till the end of the 19th century, governing the village of Gyeyang had been done in the center of Gyeyangsan. Starting from Gohyeon-up of the Three Nations era, it moved to the west, then north and later to the east before finally settling down in Bupyeong-dohobuup to the south during the Chosun era. Before the last settlement. It had moved a total of six times while flourishing with every movement.
Within it, are the Gyeyang mountain fortress that was built in the Three Nations era on the peek at the east foot of the Gyeyang mountain, and the Jungsim fortress that was built by residents of the Bupyeong village to protect seashores in the 20th year of King Gojong of the Chosun era along the ridge of hill Jingmaei to the west.
The name Gyeyangsan has changed, reflecting changes in the district's name, to Sujuak in the Suju era of Gorye, Annamsan in Annam-dohobu, and Gyeyangsan in Gyeyang-dohobu. Today's name reflects the last name and is also used to being called Anamsan or Gyeongmyeongsan.
The origin of the name Gyeyangsan came from the wild growing cinnamon trees and box trees on the mountain. This mountain was designated as a city natural park (Gyeyang Park) for the first time in Incheon and then became the first park designated by the city.
