Lee Seong-bong, one of the royal family members of Jeonju Lee, was assigned as a Soonpyeong-gun due to his contribution to the nation and his wife was also raised to the state of Hyeon-buin. His wife lived in the Yong-myeon (Dongyang-dong) village of Bupyeong and was from the Eom's family in Yuongcheon. His son, Lee Pil-hyeom, was born in Dongyang-dong and later became a judge.
When the war in Byeongja took place, the family fled to Ganghwa Island but the soldiers of Cheong also landed on the island and began to slaughter all the innocent people. Hyeon-buin chose suicide rather than being killed by the enemies.
Thus, Gu-buin, her daughter-in-law and wife of Lee Pil-hyeom, wrote a will on the skirt of her maid and followed in her mother-in-law’s footsteps. Several years later, their faithfulness was praised and a monument was erected as a tribute to them. The faithfulness monument was kept until about 40 years ago and now no longer exists. But, a tomb for Songhyeondaebu Sunpyeonggun and a tomb for Hyeon-buin are in the graveyard located in Dangsan. The brown tombstone is 1m 23cm in height and 49cm in wide.
